Review

One thought crossed my mind when I got a hold of this book at a book fair; holy macarons, I cannot believe I found this book. I have been meaning to read it!! And now I have. And here are my thoughts:

The book consists of 10 stories – and each story is connected to one another. Pooh is my favourite character in the book. It is interesting to hear his voice, and know what he’s thinking beyond these pages. He is too funny! Especially his songs, I had fun reading them!

The feel of the writing style is peculiar. Maybe, I am not exposed to this writing style so this is new to me. It was still entertaining though. Milne had a whimsical and silly way of telling stories which I enjoyed. He also used unique metaphors and phrases to describe things. And that makes me wonder, how amazing that he had an imaginative mind!

I enjoyed everything in the book. Milne’s stories were easy to swallow and digest. It was not complicated, hence, you get what’s going on. I like how the scenes came alive as if they were playing a motion picture in my head. I love it when the characters have their own quirks.

I rate it 5/5.

To sum it all, this book was enjoyable. I finally get to say that I have read a classic! I am thankful that Milne and his son, Billy Moon created such wonderful characters. And they will live forever in my heart. Though it is a children’s book and a classic, I recommend fans of Disney’s ‘Winnie the Pooh‘ to check this out.
